Please vote daily for Pet Pal Animal Shelter in the Animal Rescue Site Shelter+ Challenge.
When it comes to the Shelter+Challenge, helping animals is as simple as the click of a mouse.
GreaterGood.org is proud to announce the first 2010 Animal Rescue Site $100,000 Shelter+Challenge. The Animal Rescue Site – together with Petfinder.com – will grant up to $100,000 in support and assistance to select domestic and international animal rescue and welfare organizations.
Pet Pal Animal Shelter is asking its loyal members and supporters to cast their votes for Pet Pal as the animal welfare organization most deserving of a cash award. Visit www.theanimalrescuesite.com to vote. Before voting, you must first click the purple box to give free food to the animals.
Voters are limited to one vote per person per day, and votes will be accepted until Midnight PST April 18.
VERY IMPORTANT! Instructions to vote:
1. Click on the purple link above
2.Then click on the purple button that says “Click here to Give- It’s Free”
3. Then when the page reloads and thanks you for your vote, go to the very top of the page where it says “Help your favorite animal shelter win a prize! Vote Now! And click on the “vote today” icon
4. Then it will ask you to “Search and Vote For a Shelter” When typing in the information on this page make sure to type in/select: Pet Pal Animal Shelter and Florida Entering the city is not necessary, but please note: if you do type in the city you must spell out Saint Petersburg this is crucial, the system does not recognize the abbreviation of St. Petersburg
5. After your search is complete, and Pet Pal Animal Shelter has been found, hit the “vote” button.
6. You will then be asked to “confirm your vote”. A picture of an animal will pop up, and you will be asked to type the name of the animal in the box to confirm your vote.
If you don’t get to the “confirm your vote” page with the picture of the animal, YOUR VOTE DID NOT GO THROUGH
7. The next time you return to the site Pet Pal Animal Shelter will already be selected for you, so you only have to press the “vote” button!
In the first Shelter+Challenge of the New Year, the organization with the most votes will receive a grand prize of $10,000. Honorable mention prizes of $3,000 will be presented to the organizations with the second, third and fourth highest total of votes. And $1,000 prizes will be awarded each week to the two organizations that tally up the most votes for that week.
Winners of weekly prizes will be announced each week on the Animal Rescue Site and in the website’s newsletter e-mails. No organization may win more than one weekly prize.
