“Animals don’t lie. Animals don’t criticize. If animals have moody days, they handle them better than humans do.”
On January 17th, 2022, what would have been Betty Whites 100th Birthday, the whole world will be honoring Betty White in a way that we all believe Betty would have wanted, by donating to an animal welfare organization. We are honored to have been thought of by SO many of you and we are grateful. The world needs more Betty Whites and we’re sure feeling the love-because of Betty White. On behalf of all of our animals at Pet Pal Animal Shelter, we thank you Betty, and you are still making a difference. Click here to make a donation in Honor of Betty White.
There are many ways you can contribute and make a difference in the lives of our animals.
Our mission is to rescue dogs and cats from shelters that may otherwise be euthanized due to time limitations, illness, injuries or lack of socialization and training. We are dedicated to educating the public about the pet overpopulation crisis, the importance of spaying/neutering and responsible pet ownership.
If needed our EIN Number is: 59-2967819

Imagine your pet in pain, and then imagine not having the money to buy pain medication. Or worse, having to put your animal to sleep because you can’t afford a needed prescription.
Susie’s Fund was founded by Nina Berkheiser in memory of her beloved Rat Terrier, Susie, who was treated for cancer at Pet Pal Veterinary Clinic.
The purpose of this fund is to help clinic clients get treatment for their animals that they otherwise might not be able to afford.

A clean, comfortable resting place is critical to reducing stress in our shelter animals. We choose Kuranda Beds in our shelter because they are chew proof, scratchproof, can hold up to 250 pounds, can be sanitized providing protection from parvo and canine distemper and are light enough for us humans to handle.
The Pit Project
To be a Guardian Angel for a dog in The Pit Project, call us at (727) 328-7738.Upon adoption, with the help of their “guardian angels”, all Pittie adopters will go home with a crate, leash, collar, Kong toy, small bag of Science Diet, and free initial vet visit at Pet Pal Veterinary Clinic (where a 1 month supply of heartworm and flea prevention will be provided) and so much more!
Sponsor a Kennel
If you are looking for a special way to contribute, consider sponsoring a kennel! Kennel upkeep is a necessary part of shelter life that is often forgotten. Maintenance is important to the health and safety of our dogs, and it can be costly. By donating $500, you help defray the cost. A small plaque is affixed to the door of the kennel to commemorate your generosity.
Your gift of $100 provides you with a 6′ x 6′ tile. Your gift of $300 provides you with a 12′ x 12′ tile. Gifts are recognized with personalized wall tiles featuring your loved one’s photo and inscription. Tiles are permanently displayed at the shelter to show our appreciation for your support and dedication to the animals.
